Coronavirus / CMI Rennes is closed

To follow up tha allocution of the President of the French Republic announcing the closure of all educational establishments and in particular universities, CMI Rennes is closed to all outside public for a period not yet determined at this time.

As part of the Business Continuity Plan, our team remain at your disposal to assist you in your efforts, exclusively by email.

If you have an appointment with the CMI Rennes or with the prefecture officer planned at the Cité Internationale, it is cancelled.
We sent an email to all students concerned. If you did not receive it please let us know.

The government has decided to extend the validity of documents that would expire after March 16th by 3 months.
It applies to the following documents:

  • long stay visas
  • residence permits
  • APS
  • receipts/récépissés for residence permit applications

However, it is not recommended for foreigners with an expired residence permit or récépissé benefiting from this extension to leave French territory.
Besides, the Schengen area borders are closed for at least 30 days.
