CMI's Welcome Days 2021 - Report

After a year and half being unable to organize a welcome event because of the sanitary situation, the CMI was pleased to invite students to come and meet the team at the Cité Internationale Paul Ricoeur again.

This first edition of the CMI's Welcome Days was held from Thursday September 2 to Tuesday September 7, 2021.

Welcome Days

Every day, cultural and institutional partners took turns in the reception hall to meet the new international students, Ph.D students and researchers of Rennes. Thanks to everyone's commitment, the CMI Rennes has welcome nearly 400 visitors over the five days of the event!

The activities offered during the Welcome Days were a great success, in particular the guided tours of the Historic Center of Rennes, which, luckily, took place under the sun. The activities of the Celtic Circle of Rennes offered throughout the day on Saturday September 4 also attracted international students who could enjoy an introduction to Breton dance, as well as concerts, games and Celtic and Breton tales .

Despite the very tight deadline to organize this welcome event, the International Mobility Center team is grateful getting the chance to meet the newcomers and hopes to welcome even more of them during the next edition.

Back-to-school season is still on!

The CMI keeps receiving international students, Ph.D students and researchers on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, by appointment for administrative procedures support and accommodation research. No appointment required for the cultural agenda's ticket booking.
